Start with the number.
Not seats or hours. We start from the revenue you need and work back to the conversations it takes.
Cold Calling For You sizes every engagement on a 30-minute discovery call. We start from your revenue goal, work back through your deal size and close rate to the qualified meetings that need to happen, then to the meetings we need to book once no-shows are counted, and finally to the number of completed conversations we need to have. Every one of those conversations is recorded, transcribed, and audited, and you can review any of them.
From revenue goal to conversations.
An example for a company selling a $100,000 contract. On the call we replace every figure with yours, and if the conversations it takes are more than outbound can realistically deliver, you will hear that from us.
- Revenue goal $1M New revenue this year
- Deals 10 At a $100K contract
- Meetings held 50 1 in 5 closes
- Meetings booked ~72 70% show up
- Conversations ~720 About 1 in 10 books a meeting
- Revenue goal. What does outbound need to add, and by when?
- Deals. What is a typical first-year contract worth to you?
- Meetings held. Of the qualified meetings your team runs today, how many close?
- Meetings booked. How many booked meetings actually show up?
- Conversations. How many conversations will it take to book those meetings in your market? That number becomes the plan.
What counts as a completed conversation.
A live, two-way phone conversation with someone in your market where a substantive exchange happens and a clear outcome is recorded. This list is agreed in writing before the first dial, every conversation is audited against it the same day, and it is the only thing the plan is measured against.
Counts
A real conversation happened and it ended somewhere
- Meeting scheduled. The prospect agreed to a meeting or a demo.
- Activated lead. Genuine interest and a clear next step, short of a booked meeting.
- Not now. A real conversation where the timing is wrong, with a defined window to call back.
- Nurture. Engaged, and a plausible fit on a longer horizon.
- Not interested. Heard the offer and declined. At least a minute, with a clear outcome.
- Referred outward. Reached someone relevant who pointed to the actual decision-maker.
- Meeting rescheduled. Reached a prospect who no-showed or moved, and set a new time.
Doesn’t count
Still dialed, logged, and reported, but not counted toward the plan
- No answer, voicemail, or a bad number. Nobody picked up, so nothing happened.
- Gatekeeper. Reached the front desk and never got through to the contact.
- No longer with the company. The record is stale. We fix the list on our time.
- Outside the ICP. Someone we should not have been calling in the first place.
- Not the intended contact. A live person at the account who turns out to be the wrong one.
- Confirming a meeting already booked. That is admin, not prospecting.
- Any connect that did not complete. Cut short, bad data, needs a callback, or a do-not-call request.
There is also a cap. No more than three conversations are counted for any single prospect across the whole engagement. If a genuinely interested buyer needs a fourth and a fifth call, those still happen, they are still recorded, and they are still reported to you. They just do not count toward the plan, so working one account harder can never stand in for reaching the market.
Four meetings in 30 days. Every conversation in the plan.
Every 30-day engagement books at least four meetings with decision-makers who match the ICP we defined with you in writing. If the fourth has not landed by day 30, we keep dialing until it does. The same goes for the plan itself: dialing continues until every conversation in it has been delivered. A slow month never becomes a shortfall.
Past the floor, we do not promise a meeting count, because the offer and the list decide it. If conversations are not turning into meetings, the transcripts will show whether it is the offer, the list, or the market, and you will know inside thirty days rather than two quarters. Everything the engagement includes is listed here.
